Captain John Falterman Jr. hold a 100 Ton Masters license with the US Coast Guard and a 200 Ton Towing Endorsement. Capt. Falterman is featured in Marsh and Bayou magazine and their website as the Biloxi Marsh guide. You can read his monthly forecast in Marsh and Bayou. Captain John Falterman Jr. grew up in South Louisiana fishing bream and bass with his father Johnny using fly rods at the young age of four. By the time he was five, he was on his way to mastering the fly rod. Capt. Falterman’s family has had camps in Grand Isle and on Lake Pontchartrain for most of his life. Growing up, Capt. John and his cousin, Brad, would fish Lake Pontchartrain from dawn to dusk. Capt. John’s love for fishing grew even greater when he married his wife and fellow fisherman, Kelle. Together they have spent thousands of hours over the past twelve years fishing the waters of Grand Isle out of her family’s camp. Out on the water, they aim for Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. There’s nothing like the fight of the large Redfish from the Biloxi Marsh area. Capt. John’s knowledge of these waters is the reason his clients make memories with their children, family members, and friends.

THERAPY CHARTERS was formed in early 2008, and has had many happy clients since its conception. Fishing out of his spacious NEW 2014 BlueWave 2400 Pure Bay with a V6 four stroke 300 Yamaha, helps make short time of the open waters of Lake Pontchartrain, Lake Borgne, large bays, and the Gulf of Mexico out of Grand Isle. THERAPY CHARTERS is able to accommodate up to 6 people per boat. Capt. John’s specialty is children and families, for that reason his motto is “TAKE A KID FISHING!” Seeing young kids enjoy the outdoors is awesome! From popping corks to fly fishing, we can cater to your every need. Let Capt. John teach the kids while you enjoy your fishing. Captain John Falterman Jr. of Therapy Charters wishes to provide clients of all ages and genders with the opportunity to experience in-shore fishing in a comfortable, safe environment, where a variety of techniques are used in a conservation minded way for a worthwhile fishing experience that is both enjoyable and educational. Capt. John thrives on showing young and old about Coastal Conservation. Helping people understand the ways we hurt the fisheries and also the ways we can help it . In light of Captain John’s motto, “Take a kid fishing”, he hopes to instill a life-long desire for fishing and provide a favorite pastime for families and friends alike.
