Fishing on Texoma

Nationally sought out for it's prime fishing waters, Lake Texoma attracts fishermen casting for Striper, Sand Bass, Blue & Channel Catfish, Crappie, Black Bass, along with many other species. The salinity of the water provides conditions that encourage the Stripers to spawn abundantly, deeming Texoma the "Striper Capital of the World".

The Lighthouse Marina is the best location on the water for fishing with easy access to the Dam, Table top, and the channels of the Washita & Red Rivers. We have a fish cleaning station for your convenience.

Lake Texoma's first marina was located on the land that is now the Lighthouse Marina, and 8 of the original Corps of Engineers cabins still stand on the property.

Professional Guide Services

We have relationships with more professional fishing guides than any other marina on the lake. The guides are out on the water every day and know where the fish are biting which can change day to day. Lighthouse Marina staff would be happy to help you find a guide who is knowledgeable about where the fish are and the best bait to use to help you have a successful fishing trip.

Fishing Licenses and Limits

Since a majority of the lake lies in Oklahoma (about 2/3), a 'Lake Texoma' fishing license is recommended if you're fishing on the waters of Lake Texoma. The Lake Texoma license is $12 (for both residents and non-residents) and is valid until Dec 31 of each calendar year. Licenses are available at our Fuel Dock, or at The Tackle Box, as well as other retailers.
