Capt. Steve Chaconas provides clients with guided fishing trips for largmouth bass and northern snakeheads on the historic and scenic Potomac River. The Potomac River has hosted BASSMASTERS Tournament and FLW Tournament Trails and boasts some of the finest largemouth bass fishing in the country. With river grasses, sunken wrecks, and creeks, there are fishing opportunities for all skill levels. In addition to the fishing, the sights of Washington DC, George Washington's Mount Vernon home, the Pentagon, and Reagan National Airport offer a different perspective when viewed from the water.

Capt. Steve is a former radio and TV talk show host, who has been fishing on the Potomac since the mid 1960's. Steve does not fish tournaments, so he will always take you to his best spots! He writes for several publications covering the BASSMASTERS Tournament trail for radio and newspapers. He also hosts The National Bass Fishing Show.

Capt. Steve's experience and knowledge and his ability to communicate make him a good instructor and also an excellent seminar speaker at all levels, from tackle shops to corporate board meetings. Captain Steve Chaconas brings 25 years of bass fishing experience on the Potomac River to columns featured in: BoatUS Angler Tacklebox, BoatUS Trailering Magazine, Sportsman’s Magazine, Woods & Waters, and The Old Town Crier. Check out his weekly fishing reports for Comcast Sports. He has also written for the Free Lance Star newspaper, The Mount Vernon Gazette, The Mount Vernon Voice, The American Sportfishing Association and many others.  Steve also hosted the National Bass Fishing Radio Show. In addition, “Capt. Steve” is featured as the BoatUS.com and monkeysee.com fishing experts. In addition, his reports and commentaries appear on line: bassfan.com, wfls.com, potomacbass.com, bassnedge.com, ultimatebassin.com and others.
