The Kenai is not hidden behind shatterproof glass or safety rail. Your face feels the cold breeze skimming the giant glacier before you. Your ears perk to the screeching cry of the two bald eagles posturing on the bank over a fish carcass. You ponder the awkwardness of the thousand pound moose and her long-legged calf, and your heart pounds with the sight of a mature brown (grizzly) bear ambling along with no acknowledgment of the small crowd it’s attracting. You marvel at the vast mountains, smoldering volcanoes and turquoise-green waters of our pristine rivers, soaking in the wild nature of all the sights before you. And the fishing… lets not forget the fishing!
