Hester’s Resort & Marina, a tradition on Kentucky Lake for many decades, has become the “resort of choice” for folks looking for a clean, quiet, and enjoyable vacation at a reasonable cost. We must be doing something right since over 70% of our guests made reservations for the upcoming year! And to show our appreciation, our rental rates have not increased since 2009. 

Hester’s Resort offers a small, friendly vacation setting on the edge of beautiful Kentucky Lake. The rental units are located on a protected point surrounded by water just off the main lake. Our marina store, boat slips and rental boats provide everything needed for the perfect vacation. 

Hester’s Resort offers eleven rental units in total. Nine units are within 100 yards of the water and provide adequate space for barbecuing, picnicking, and sitting around campfires. Two units are on a hill overlooking Hester’s Resort providing a view of the lake. All units are equipped with air conditioning, heat, and cable television along with bed linens and towels. Each unit has a full kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster along with cooking pans, utensils, and dishes.

On Hesters’ grounds, you will find a sand volley ball court, a basketball court, playground area for children, along with a sandy beach with a swimming dock. A gentle sloping shoreline allows for easy fishing along the bank. Within 30 minutes from Hester’s Resort, you will find golf courses, nature trails, horseback riding, amusement parks, and restaurants making sure the day is full of excitement. Land Between the Lakes offers many beaches and a quarry, all of which are a quick boat ride away making Hester’s the ideal vacation spot.

Hester’s Resort is flexible in meeting the vacation plans of resort guests by offering weekly and daily rental rates with a minimum of a two-night stay. Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 9:00 AM but we will accommodate your travel plans whenever possible. Guests are welcome to bring pets for a $50 fee allowing the whole family to come! 

Hester’s Resort sponsors an annual fishing contest for guests. The contest pays $400 to the guest that catches the largest crappie and $400 to the guest that catches the largest bass. Winning the fishing contest could help pay for your Kentucky Lake vacation! 

Our full-service marina offers everything a boater needs including gas, bait, tackle, oil, fishing licenses, ice, snack items, apparel, boat slips, along with a fish cleaning station. A boat ramp is available to launch all size boats and watercraft and is located next to a courtesy dock. We are proud that Hester’s Marina has been certified a “Clean Marina” by the Tennessee Valley Authority since 2007.

Many guests bring their boats to Hester’s Resort. Our boat slips rent for $10 a day and we guarantee that at least one covered boat slip is available for rent for each unit that is rented. Additional boats are accommodated based upon availability of slips. Slip rentals are open to the public and can be rented daily or yearly with sizes up to 40 feet.
