For over thirty years it has been our passion to share this spectacular part of the world, and our passion continues to grow with each new and returning guest. Fishing
For just a few glorious weeks, we offer exceptional fishing for trophy lake trout - our specialty at Peterson's Point Lake Lodge. Many people think that lake trout are not a hard-hitting, hard fighting fish; this is a common misconception. They are probably the most hard flight fresh water fish. This misleading perception is a result of fishing this species in deep water using heavy weight and/or down riggers – a recipe to take the life out of any fighter. We, on the other hand, fish for lake trout between 15 – 25ft. all season! Why? Because we are located approximately 40 miles from the Arctic Circle where the water temperature does not warrant the fish to go deeper. Fishing trophy lakers from this depth is nothing like you've experienced before! Be ready to test your strength and stamina!
