Fisherman’s Row welcomes thousands of anglers each year who fish for bargains among the many trade stands with the opportunity to test and compare rods, reels and lines. Anglers can also compete in the friendly atmosphere of the fly casting competitions on the River Tay or relax and admire the skills of the expert demonstrators and the professional instructors who are delighted to share their secrets at the ever popular Fly Casting Clinic.
FLY DRESSING DEMONSTRATIONS
The increasingly popular Fly Tying Tent sees the continuation of demonstrations and opportunities for all to test their skills or to receive instruction. Tuition and encouragement will be given by Fly Dressing masters. The tent this year will be located immediately beside the Fishing Control Tent. We are grateful to GAIA for their expertise and assistance in this venture.
2016 FLY CASTING DEMONSTRATIONS
Fly casting demonstrations on the river feature a wide range of single and double handed casting techniques at hourly intervals between 11.00 and 16.00 each day in accordance with the programme below. A selection of well-known experts will demonstrate on the river and in the main arena and are happy to answer your questions.
