Activities at Savannah
The 2500 acre Savannah Private Game and River Retreat is one of the most beautiful gems of the Parys region. Set in the “lowveld bush” which exists on Savannah, due to the impact of the meteorite hit in the Vredefort Dome. At Savannah we guarantee relaxation, great meals, friendliness, weddings to die for, activities for the whole family and much much more!

Please note Savannah is a no self-catering retreat, let us spoil you with our mouth-watering dishes.

What to choose from

At Savannah Game and River Retreat we specialize in the following:
• Have a Game Drive with sundowners and see 25 different mammal species. These include  Buffalo, Giraffe, Sable, Zebra, Kudu and many more
• River Paddle along 8km of the Vaal River
• Fly Fishing and Carp Fishing
• Bird Watching
• Picnics

• Go on a River Walk along the Vaal River with one of our guides
• Cycle over the koppies on your mountain bike
• Get married, and dance the night away under the African stars

Multi-Sports Court

Savannah also has a multi-ports court where you have to be fit for fun! Bring the whole family to enjoy a day of participating in some of the FUNNEST team sports, games or training. Enjoy Hockey, Netball, Volleyball, Soccer and Tennis at Savannah. You are also more than welcome to bring your own equipment for this court. We also do training camps and fun team building activities for groups.
