O6 RANCH, LTD. is a partnership formed by the descendants of a ranching family that has been in the cattle business in Texas since the formation of the Republic of Texas in 1836. The partnership and its affiliates operate the Kokernot 06 Ranch located in the beautiful Davis Mountains of West Texas, between Alpine and Fort Davis. o6 Ranch is engaged in raising livestock, principally beef cattle and working quarter horses. Acquired by the family in 1912, o6 Ranch has been a recognized leader in West Texas ranching circles for over a century. The Ranch takes its name from a cattle brand acquired by the family around 1872.
Trophy hunting on 06 Ranch is available for the serious hunter and includes the taking of a number of the large game species found in West Texas. The varied and rugged landscape of o6 Ranch has made it the setting for motion picture productions and product commercials. Hiking, horseback riding, and ATV tours conducted by ranch guides give members of the general public a first-hand view of one of the most picturesque landscapes in Texas. The high altitude of o6 Ranch and its dry desert climate make these activities pleasurable almost year-round
