Lynedoch Farm certainly has a story to tell. In fact, it has a double-story house of history, dating back to the 1800s. If the house’s thick walls could talk they’d tell you all about the first very owners – the Pringle Family.
The historic South African farm was built, in the Bedford district in the Eastern Cape, in 1842 by William Dodds Pringle, half-brother of Thomas Pringle, who led the party of Scottish settlers. The setting of the homestead is strikingly beautiful, surrounded by idyllic oaks and nestling in the grandeur of the Baviaans River Mountains. During the disturbances of the eight Frontier War, Lynedoch was a haven for farmers and their families.
Expect to see a wide variety of game. Whilst hunting, guests may also spot many different bird species roaming the sky. Those who seek to explore will find ancient Bushmen drawings next to the river banks.
