Enjoy fishing for Kodiak halibut, Kodiak salmon, Kodiak rockfish, and Kodiak Lingcod. You will also enjoy hunting for Sitka blacktail deer, sea ducks, whale watching, Kodiak Bear viewing, berry picking, hiking, sea kayaking, and more from our scenic waterfront property. With professional guides, cooks, and hosts, a vacation at Port Lions Lodge is not your typical hunting or fishing vacation. Warm showers, hot meals, and comfy beds await you at the end of every day.

Nature is all around us at Port Lions Lodge. Enjoy daily sightings of local marine and wildlife including the famous Kodiak brown bear, humpback whale, orca, sea lions, puffins, arctic fox, Sitka deer, bald eagles, and more. Our owner operated Kodiak Island fishing lodge and hunting lodge is the perfect place to experience all of the natural beauty Alaska has to offer.

Deer Hunting

We are currently taking reservations for our 2014 and 2015 Deer Hunting packages. Come to Port Lions Lodge to enjoy your Kodiak Island hunting vacation. We offer self-guided transport hunts. All of our hunters spend the nights in our ocean front Kodiak Island lodge and have breakfast and dinner in the lodge. Lunches are packed out to the field to be enjoyed while glassing for that buck. Our Kodiak Island deer hunting is some of the finest deer hunting in Alaska.

Fishing

The protected water between Kodiak, Afognak, and Raspberry Islands holds some of the richest biomass in the world. The plankton growth often makes the crystal clear water appear like a rich broth and it attracts everything from tiny fish to great humpback whales. Fish and sea mammals alike hold here in the tidal waters between these islands because of the unending supply of food. Salt-water fish migrate here to feed and grow. King salmon are here all year long and silver salmon feed in the salt water all summer as they travel to their spawning grounds. Add to this the large number of sparkling streams that each have their own unique salmon and steelhead spawning beds and you have one of the best sportfishing areas in the world. It’s also one of the best places around for an Alaska fishing lodge!
