We have thousands upon thousands of acres of prime pheasant hunting land in northeastern and north central South Dakota, and even options in North Dakota for our self-guided clients. Our land owners have created an environment where pheasants thrive due to diverse habitat options that include grasslands, CRP, shelter-belts, sloughs, creek bottoms and food plots. With Dakota Pheasant Guide you’ll experience a good old fashioned pheasant hunt in the beautiful wide open spaces on some of the highest quality land you could ever hope to find in the Dakota’s. We cordially invite you to come on out and discover for yourself what a superior experience upland bird hunting wild pheasants with us can be.

Prime Pheasant Country in SD & ND

With Dakota Pheasant Guide you will be taking your part of a true fair chase hunt to harvest only 100% Wild Pheasants. Our hunts are conducted just the way we learned from our fathers as we grew up hunting here in the heart of Pheasant Country. Meaning, no riding to the field in buses and then lined up to “shoot” pen raised birds over pretentious dogs, or any of the other quite frankly, silly fanfare involved with most commercial hunting operations. Our dogs-pointing and flushing-are trained in very fields we hunt. They work hard for a living…just like we do.

The hunting land for 2015 looks especially promising as there is great cover and large broods of new birds in each area. The land looks so encouraging that after a mild Winter, we should see the best season in recent history. We’ve also added new land in both South Dakota and North Dakota for the 2015 season. Take a look at one of our recent blog posts to learn why this area of the country is one of the best places for pheasant hunting.

South Dakota Pheasant Hunting Land

We have access to seven prime pheasant areas in northeastern South Dakota. Our newest property is in western South Dakota near the town of Timber Lake. Not only is the land ideal for pheasant habitat but it falls under Tribal Season dates starting on October 3rd, two weeks prior to South Dakota’s standard season. This property is geared towards our self-guided hunters and ideal for those traveling from the west. (Please note, a Tribal License will be needed.)

North Dakota Pheasant Hunting Land

Each of our North Dakota properties are well suited for self-guided hunts and, with our newest acquisitions, we offer the option of early season hunts. One location is on the west side of the state near Bowman, we also have locations in eastern North Dakota near Zeeland and Tappan. The North Dakota season opens October 10th; one week prior to South Dakota’s season. We will be offering two exclusive guided hunts on the Zeeland properties the first week of season.
