Back Forty Hunting Guide Service and the Timberdoodle Inn are located in North Central Wisconsin, 75 miles south of Lake Superior. We live in Price County, home to the Ruffed Grouse Capital of the World. We hunt Price and surrounding counties. We are a family owned and operated outfitting service.
We'd like to invite you to enjoy our quality services for hunting, fishing, hiking and just enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Back Forty Guide Service limits its hunter numbers to give every hunter the optimum chance for success and enjoyment during each stay. The terrain is mostly flat land with gentle slopes and wooded swamps and farm edges. Each hunt is targeted to the client, taking into consideration his/her physical condition.
In Wisconsin, we hunt Ruffed Grouse, Sharptail Grouse, Woodcock, Wild Turkey, waterfowl, Black Bear, white-tailed deer, and other native wildlife. Fisherman have access to an 87 acre natural spring fed lake. Musky, walleye, northern pike, large mouth and small mouth bass and also panfish are present for your enjoyment year round. Our bird hunts include the use of our highly trained and effective Deutsch Drathtaar dogs, which are bred on premise.
Our beautiful Timber Doodle Inn accommodates 12 hunters and will provide you with a hearty breakfast, a field lunch and a wonderful gourmet, home-cooked dinner. We can also accommodate special diets and vegetarians.
