Specialty: For hunters who desire to hunt Texas' Wildlife Management Areas along the Upper Coast and wish to learn the ropes prior to heading out either alone or with their hunting sidekick.
Locations: The areas we focus on are those with which we have the most experience and exposure, from Anahuac down to Matagorda County in Texas' South Zone.
Basics: From our chosen assigned parking area, we do walk to and from our specific area - packing everything on our back, going and coming. That's only to say, if you are on a pacemaker, this kind of trip is ill advised.
History: First waterfowl hunt with guide = 44 years ago, at age 14. Permitted thereafter to enjoy numerous guided bird adventures over the next 33 years: plowed fields, muddy ditches, flooded timber, behind hay bales, corn breaks, irrigated rice, foggy and boggy creek bottoms, rye grass patches - and the marsh. About 11 years ago, having met my own top of tank hunting with large groups of distant strangers, began scouting and hunting solo on both public and private season dove/teal/duck/goose leases - learning that the appreciation aspects of smaller hunting parties provide greater rewards. Thus, we limit our group to three customers per hunt.
