Our trained and experienced staff in conjunction with world class facilities will ensure an unforgettable Safari. Apache Hunts is situated 500km South West of Johannesburg and 60km West of Kimberley, the nearest major city. Barkley West is the nearest town 30km west of the Safari area.
The Safari area comprises of 11 000ha, 5 adjacent farms each independently fenced with the relevant exemptions. The meandering Harts River flows for 17km through the farms, offering wonderful opportunities to observe animals and abundant bird life.
The Kalahari renowned for being arid and hot is transformed into an oasis providing excellent hunting, fishing for carp, yellow fish and catfish and the ever popular wing shooting with an abundance of guinea-fowl francolin, geese and duck.
The savannah velt, with acacia thorn, rosyntjie bush, vaalbush and thickets of black thorn support a wide variety of species, which include, Sable, Nyala, Waterbuck, Blesbuck, Duiker, Eland, Gemsbok, Hartebeest, Black Wildebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Kudu, Ostrich, Springbok, Steenbok, Warthog and the exotic Fellow Deer. Animals and birds are predated by Jackal, Caracal and brown Hyena.
The area is free from diseases such as malaria and bilharzia.
