Renier Els was born and raised on a farm near Rooibokkraal. Rooibokkraal is situated in the North Western bushveld at the junction of the Crocodile and Limpopo rivers. The Limpopo river forms the border between South Africa and Botswana. The area is known in South Africa for the abundance of game and the outstanding trophies hunted here. Selous, the famous hunter, spent his first safaris in this area and described it later as one of the best hunting areas he ever hunted.



Renier gained his experience from a young age, hunting in this area. He shot his first impala at the age of six. As he is a trophy hunter himself, he knows exactly what is important for a client on safari. He honestly believes that he conducts an excellent safari operation, with well trained personnel. Any dedicated trophy hunter will not be disappointed on returning home. Do yourself a favour and hunt in the traditional way in the right environment.

Boesmanskraal Safaris - new lodge

Boesmanskraal is a new game ranch recently acquired by Renier Els and his partner, Kevin Pitout. This ranch is approx. 14km from Rooibokkraal and offers exceptional quality trophy animals, including Sable Antelope, Kudu and Gemsbok. Buffalo and Nyala are also available. This ranch of 12km2 only has perimeter fencing and is not divided into camps. The luxury hunting lodge is now complete and should be ready to take guests from April 2012 as we are busy training staff and attending to the inevitable snags. Watch this space!
