Hamakari Guest Farm

The Diekmann family originating from northern Germany has been running the Farm Hamakari situated close to the Waterberg about 280km north of the Namibian capital Windhoek since 1908. On 20 000 hectares of land, cattle farming is being practised hand in hand with professional hunting on the principle of sustainable utilisation of local resources. In the bush savannah of Hamakari, which forms part of the Waterberg Conservancy, the seasoned hunter is offered an exciting and ethical (fair) chase of game such as Kudu, Eland, Oryx and many more under the guidance and supervision of experienced hunting guides.

Accommodation

Our hunters are offered comfortably furnished rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Our daily cleaning and laundry services allow you to travel lightly. The tropical garden with its diversity of bird species and an inviting pool, a library and a number of private nooks will contribute to a relaxing stay.

We have good mobile network connectivity. This and W-LAN thus allowing for direct contact with home wherever it may be.

Hunting

Enjoy an unforgettable hunting experience on Hamakari, our farm in direct proximity to the Waterberg, where you’ll find the original density and diversity of species of southern Africa. In the bush savannah of our region you’ll be able to track down kudu, eland, oryx, springbok, impala, warthog and other African species. The size of our award-winning trophies speaks for itself.
