Balla-Balla Safaris is a family operated enterprise run by three brothers Alan, Dene, and Shawn Bird. All three are experienced professional hunters who own three world class hunting areas in Zambia & South Africa.

Started by Jessie and Alan Bird Snr, and named after the antelope, the Greater Kudu, Balla-Balla in the local language. Today, we are a privately-owned, family-run hunting outfitter that owns a total of three excellent hunting properties. Two of the reserves are situated in the Southern Province of Zambia close to the world famous Victoria Falls and the fifth largest park in the world, Kafue National Park. The other reserve is situated in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, nestled in the heart of the Soutpansberg mountain range, not far from Kruger National Park.
 

Three brothers, professional hunters, Alan, Dene or Shawn Bird along with the well trained and experienced trackers, skinners and various other support staff at Balla-Balla will look after all your needs, ensuring that your expectations are exceeded and your safari is what you want it to be. Your trip will be professionally managed, giving you complete piece of mind.
 

Accommodation in all three private reserves is of a very high standard, providing each guest with high level of privacy and comfort perfect for the whole family. In South Africa Alan & Shawn and their various assistants prepare mouth-watering meals featuring local game cooked in the traditional South African fashion over an open fire. All meals are accompanied by quality South African wines. In Zambia chef Charles assumes the cooking duties and creates delicious Zambian specialties each evening which you will enjoy after your hunt. We can assure you a top quality personalized safari.
